Sport & Performance
Movement, neuromuscular function and biomechanics applied to performance, adaptation, injury-related assessment and disability sport.
JMNS is a focused journal dedicated to human movement and neuromuscular function. Its four scientific areas share one framework: understanding how movement is produced, controlled, impaired, restored and optimized across health, disease and performance.
Movement, neuromuscular function and biomechanics applied to performance, adaptation, injury-related assessment and disability sport.
Movement and neuromuscular function in mobility, recovery, rehabilitation outcomes and assistive technologies.
Movement and biomechanical function in musculoskeletal disorders, surgical outcomes, prosthetics and functional recovery.
Movement and neuromuscular function in neurological disorders, motor control, gait and neurophysiology.
All submissions are assessed for scientific quality, methodological rigor, ethical integrity and relevance to scope.
Studies addressing a defined scientific question using data collected specifically for the reported research.
Requirements 02Studies addressing a defined scientific question through original analysis of previously collected datasets.
Requirements 03Systematic reviews, meta-analyses, scoping reviews, and critical, narrative or mini reviews.
RequirementsPrimary- and secondary-data studies are evaluated according to the same scientific and editorial standards. Use of datasets listed by JMNS is optional and confers no editorial preference.
JMNS provides a curated library of reusable human research datasets relevant to movement and neuromuscular science. Each record is manually verified for repository identity, data availability and documented reuse conditions. Selected records also include mapped publications and human-reviewed Research Intelligence describing potential research opportunities.

JMNS was founded with a clear ambition: to become a trusted international forum for rigorous, transparent and meaningful research in human movement and neuromuscular science.
Our Editorial Board shares a long-term commitment to building the journal through scientific quality, independent editorial judgement, constructive peer review and responsible research practices.
We know that the reputation of a journal cannot be declared — it must be earned. It begins with the trust of authors who choose to submit their work, reviewers who contribute their expertise, and readers who rely on the integrity of what we publish.
Our commitment is to earn that trust, article by article.
Independent editorial decisions, robust peer review and high methodological standards.
Clear policies, accountable editorial workflows and responsible research practices.
Fair, constructive and respectful handling throughout the editorial process.
